NALP guidelines for foreign firms? Is this allowed?

You currently live in a foreign country. Let's say there is a foreign branch of a US firm that you are interested in interning in during your 1L summer. You want to contact them to find out if this is something they do. You don't want to ask for a job, rather you want to ask if you wanted a job, what should you do.

Is this against NALP guidelines? Is it allowed?

hmmm

what if you aren't sure that the program exists? Also, does NALP govern conduct outside of the US?

Its no big deal. Just call or email them and ask.
