I want my clerkship recommenders to call some judges for me around OSCAR release time. It will be a stretch for me to ask them, because I'm not the best of friends with either. I want to send them something in addition to thank-you-cards to make them feel obligated.

My roommate says whiskey. I'm not sure that is the best call. What else could I waste some money on?
