this will probably out me, but oh well

not LR grade on, but close. focusing 100% on IP. combined interviews from Loyola Patent Fair and OGI are >50 with about an even split between the two.

edit: i have 1 CB already from the LPF

Final schedules are up.

~3.2ish

28 interviews
- 20 Preselects
- 5 Alternates to interviews
- 3 Lottery interviews

Since someone else asked: I am not a URM, and I am not interested in IP.

How do I read this thing? Do I assume that scheduled alternates are not lottery?

Seems weird. That many preselects with a 3.2? Where did you bid?
What kind of bio info do they get to see along with your GPA? (i.e. race?) Does race matter for preselects?

Second guy. Not really that high compared to the first guy. NY/Boston/DC.

In the future, the above post does not require anonymity.

Symplicity has biographical information, but I don't know if that's communicated to a firm. I make a point to list related extracurriculars on my resume so that they can figure out.
This.

I'd bet dollars to donuts that the dude with 27 interviews is IP rather than URM.

First guy here. I'm not a URM, and nothing in my resume/bio info suggests it. I bid on a lot of non-DC Mid-Atlantic markets, including NYC, which is where the largest chunk of my interviews are.

I'll let everyone know that I'm not IP either, but I don't want to out myself much more than that. Although I have a good number of V100 interviews, I definitely didn't overplay my hand with most of my bids.

CR.

IP ppl seem to be cleaning up (at least that's the impression I get from my friends w/ technical backgrounds).

Wow, good job on 27 interviews. I'm also 3.2ish - 18 interviews total, 11 preselect, the rest alternate/lottery. I didn't rank things very well (my preselects were only in my top 25), so I think I got off relatively well.

I have a few that say "not invited" and don't have "lottery select" next to them, but that I somehow got an interview at. Anyone know how that works?

Also, I assume if you have scheduled date next to and alternate select that it means you actually got the interview?

Edit: 20 interviews total...two of my alternates turned into preselects.

Also curious.
Those are your lottery interviews--at least with the firms that didn't select you as an Alternate originally. The OCI page in Symplicity makes no explicit indication whether an interview was a lottery selection--at least it doesn't for me. For that reason, you also won't be able to tell if your Alternates turned into interviews via the Alternate selection process or via the lottery--not that it would matter much.

I just know I have lottery interviews because I now have interviews scheduled with firms where I was originally "not invited."

Stats: ~3.5, non-URM, some WE, average resume otherwise

Bid NY/CA and a couple secondary markets

29 OGI interviews total
23 preselect (including 4/5 of my Top 5)
6 lottery/alternate (I suspect only 1 or 2 of them were from the lottery)

3 interviews, 2 callbacks from mass-mailing non-OGI firms

Pleased but overwhelmed.

some people are talking about 29 interviews total, etc. did anyone else get above the 30 max and decide not to do a ridiculous number? i had 45 preselects and 2 alternates and chose only to do 26...

edit: not that there's that big of a diff between 26 and 29, i know. but the question still stands...

Maybe the bottom third just got fucked completely.

Also, to the extent that anything on xoxo is believable, their UVA threads paint a very different picture.
