Working part-time fall of 2L year?

This is perhaps a stupid question - how bad or good of an idea is it to work part-time fall of your 2L year? I know it can be done, but I'm wondering if it's worth it. There's a job opening that's right in my area of interest but I'm not sure how much time I'll have on my hands what with class, interviewing (maybe), applying for jobs (definitely), and journal work. I would love to make the connections, obviously, but I don't want a job to negatively impact my academics. I have afternoons off three days of the week so I think I could make it work, but I don't know if it's worth it.
As I'm typing this I realize it's sort of a stupid question, but what would you guys recommend?
edit: If it helps, I'm at a T2 with good but not outstanding grades, meh connections, and meh experience.

I worked as an RA (10 hrs a week) and a TA (5 hours a week) during the fall of my 2L year while I was on a journal and interviewing for jobs. That said, I wouldn't do it again. I consistently pulled 70-80 hour work weeks throughout the semester. How feasible it is really depends on what your journal is like. I spent the more time working on it than others because I was published and had to edit multiple drafts.

I'd highly recommend it if it will be good experience and the hours are flexible or aren't extremely high. With the economy in shambles, it's good to expand your network and experience. Fall of 2L was a stressful time with OCI but this job is a good way to hedge your bets.

Yeah, I will DEFINITELY be working pt, however, whether that will take the form of a part-time firm job or an RA/TA position is yet to be determined. I think I will make more working for a firm, especially the one I'm at right now, but I'd have to get into a certain transfer school to make that a reality since that school is near my current summer position. Oh yeah, and they would have to give me a job, lol.
