Additional Info by Employers in Symplicity for OCI Bidding

Anyone know if the additional requests provided by employers listed in Symplicity for OCI bidding is school specific, or if it is just generic for all schools?
I ask because several firms under their additional requests section list something like "top 20% required," yet my school's own data indicates that last year at OCI the average grades of successful candidates at these firms was significantly below what their "required" cutoff is.
Anyone even know what I'm talking about...

Must be school specific because a few firms on Chicago's Symplicity site specify a minimum GPA of "177." Pretty sure no other schools are on that whacked-out grading scheme.

Some firms specifically address our school by name, but I'm just wondering because there are firms that have 80 interview slots, yet "require" top 20% when the top 20% of our school comprises only about 40 people, and that top 20% would be competitive for much more prestigious firms, and our schools own data shows that people well outside the top 20% would be competitive.

I think it's mostly bluster. If all the firms were telling the truth, then less than half of CCN would get jobs.
Trust the information from your OCS about previous years' hiring GPAs, especially last year's.

It might be specific, or it might be that whoever wrote it just cut/pasted it from their generic NALP form. You can either a) ask your OCS or b) pick a big firm and name it, I'll look it up in my school's database and see if it's the same.

Firms lie through their god damned teeth on those things, and I want to keep harping on it, because it is VERY IMPORTANT TO YOUR CAREER PROSPECTS. Seems good. Now I just need to find a firm that has a desperate need for a median MVP with no work experience. I'm sure I'll be fighting them off with a stick.

As far as I know we haven't had any sort of competition to be on Moot Court yet. Then again, I'm not exactly well informed when it comes to such things.
