Or is it completely impossible to get a job that it's not even worth it?

Is this really a question? Your two options are: 1) Have a small chance at getting a job or 2) Have zero chance at getting a job. Until you find something, applying and networking should be your full-time job.

Maybe I'm just giving the OP the benefit of the doubt, but I took his question to mean whether it's worthless to be mass-mailing right now. Lots of small firms/medium firms do not hire/interview 3Ls around this time of year. Nonetheless, I would still start sending out resumes and networking. You may get lucky. Stay the course though, and don't give up. Tenacity is rewarded in a market where firms are overwhelmed with applicants. It's purely a numbers game. Of course, random cold-call resume sends aren't as good.
If you have a specific interest, pursue it by talking to people in that field. If you are still figuring things out, talk to as many lawyers as possible so you can graduate with your focus narrowed. Try to work part-time somewhere during school, or volunteer. This can help you network and might even turn into a post-grad job for you.
