UTexas URM @ median - OCI prospects?

Freaking out right now. I'm at UT Law, rising 2L. Hispanic male.

I averaged the median GPA for the past few years' 1L classes and determined that I'm about .05 below that. (say the average median was 3.36, I've got a 3.31). I guess that puts me right below median; I'm not sure what my exact rank would be.

I'm wondering if I have any shot whatsoever at landing interviews at OCI this fall.

Addditionally, although I'm not sure how relevant this is, I all my grades this semester were solid except for one abomination. (One b+, which is average at UT, and then two A-'s, and one A+... but then a C+!). Now, would employers be receptive to an argument that, because the C+ stands out on an otherwise solid semester, it is some kind of aberration (It is, but then again that's probably what everyone with a C+ says)?

Anyway, basically I'm just wondering what shot a URM like myself has at OCI with a GPA just below median at UT... :(

Hey Art, I can't remember where you are from. Do you have any connections back home? Obviously you have seen the OCI cutoffs, and 95% want somewhere within the top 1/3. I don't know how URM factors in. As far as the one bad grade, I'm not sure if that looks better than 4 mediocre grades. You would think employers would rather have someone who has shown the ability to do very well, but I imagine they will look at you in the same way as someone who got straight B+s. Hopefully someone else can shed some light.

Did you do the journal write-on? I imagine that could help if you land a spot.

And try not to freak out too much [I know, much easier said than done].
