Re: SFIPLA results
Actually, I'm not sure that anyone does know. I was just chatting with a friend who participated a couple years ago during better times. He said SFIPLA's really disorganized. The only date I can find is that employers must choose their candidates by July 14. I'm honestly not sure it's worth flying across the country for this. I'm planning to go only because I'm in the area for the summer.Anonymous User wrote:^^ 87 views!? come on guys, someone must know, the organization's help e-mail add doesn't even function, hope employers actually show up to this shindig. Re: SFIPLA results
yeah, if you wanna pay $300 for a rejection, you go to the VIP Room at a strip club and ask the stripper out - that's how you pay $300 for a rejection.dood wrote:
whatever, id rather strike out then get 1, pay $300 to fly to SF only to get rejected after the screening interview anyways.
BTW - who the hell is letting you fly around for $300, are you related to a pilot?

Its gone. I never bid on it bec. it explicitly said prosecution only. Kid from my firm got a MoFo interview (I think at Loyola? Maybe SFIPLA, not sure, he's mad into pros. tho)Anonymous User wrote:is it just me or did MoFo disappear from the list of employers??

Re: SFIPLA results
I received 6.
I noticed that a few firms have either 4 or 1 spots available. I'm guessing they want to have a long lunch or leave early.

I also got 6 out of my 7 bids. One of them surprises me, as OCS told me that they were likely out of my GPA range. Then again, it's just a screener.Emu Flu wrote:I received 6.

Are those total slots numbers accurate? Did they really not fill up their interview schedules? The firm that dinged me still has a slot.
I don't recall MoFo being on the list. I recall there being 11 firms, and there are still 11 firms.Anonymous User wrote:Its gone. I never bid on it bec. it explicitly said prosecution only. That's not true. In the interview dates column, it says "Scheduled for Aug 8th". You can also see them on the Scheduled Interviews tab.Anonymous User wrote:Yes, it means you didnt get any. Re: SFIPLA results
did anyone else on TLS do this patent law fair?
I'm wondering if THIS is the #1 resource for Bay Area jobs. It seems like a horrendous turnout, 12 firms, makes Loyola look like a beast (160 firms)
I wrote nice cover letters to all these firms in this SFIPLA deal, but nothing for PLIP - and now I'm hard-core regretting it because a bunch of the firms I want to interview with DON'T EVEN COME TO THE SFIPLA.
Is your school career office totally incompetent for IP law advice? Without disclosing my school name, I must say that I am not to impressed with the career office for my IP law questions. I found out about both Loyola and SFIPLA on my own, I don't think it should be like that. $150k should at least buy me some information on what I should do to max out my odds - sure I'll carry most of the weight, but at least give me some basic info on the existence of these job fairs. Geez.
