Minority OCI

How much does it help in getting interviews/callbacks/jobs/etc... by applying to a firm through a minority recruitment program (I am currently referring to the Sunbelt Minority Recruitment Program). Many top firms are listed (Baker Botts, Bracewell, K&L, etc...)

Lets say I am at a school in the top 20 and my GPA is not spectacular (below median). Will applying through the program make any difference?

I don't think it would hurt to apply through programs such as Sunbelt and also your school's OCI.

In terms of how effective minority job fair is, as far as I know, I don't think many offers are given through minority job fairs compared to regular OCI. I am guessing each firms hire 1 or maybe 0.

My speculation is based on V&E's website that states they hired 1 student from OU through Sunbelt job fair. http://www.velaw.com/careers/law_students.aspx?id=678

EDIT:
Actually V&E hired three minority students.
