Just curious. How does OCI at Columbia work? How many bids? Is it 100% student selected? How many interviews do students typically get?

30 bids. Complete lottery (i.e., no pre-screening). Four days, but not consecutive - I think it's the 11th, 12th, 16th and 17th.ZXCVBNM wrote:Just curious. How does OCI at Columbia work? How many bids? Is it 100% student selected? How many interviews do students typically get?
I'm pretty sure you can still do this, and also go to firms' hospitality suites to get interviews as well.Voyager wrote:Things may have changed, but back in 2008 you could add your name to a ton of firm interview rosters the day of. I did something like 38 interviews total.
Bids for non-transfer students concluded last week - July 15. However, interview schedules won't be released until August 2. I assume that transfers will bid at some time during that window, though I suppose that Columbia might use a system of set-asides for transfers.Anonymous User wrote:When is the actually lottery and when do you get to bid on firms?
