Is there a way to send an electronic copy of a cover letter in .doc format that was mail merged without it being obvious that you used mail merge? (In other words, I don't want the gray boxes there when you click on the address block and salutation.) If not, then it looks like I need to save the documents as pdf. I don't want to buy the full version of adobe acrobat, and every version of it I see in bittorrent seems to be reporting some type of virus (probably not really a virus, but still, I don't want to chance it). Is there a way I can save as pdf? Ideally, I'd like something that would allow me to save the word document as pdf directly through word's "save as" options, but just something to convert it would be fine. Thanks.

go to download.com and get a program called "cute pdf converter."

Definitely couldn't save as a pdf before this download. Maybe you have the full version of adobe acrobat on your computer?
