OSCAR question

For the purposes of OSCAR, what is the difference between an internship and an externship? I have heard contradicting definitions and the initial form asks you to identify if you have done either. I know I have done one, I just don't know which. Anyone know? Thanks.

externship is usually done the school year on a part-time basis. Internship is full-time. Usually summer employment.

I don't think there's a solid distinction. See
http://www.wisegeek.com/what-is-the-dif ... rnship.htm and
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Externship.
When in doubt, I would use the word "internship" if you worked full time for part of the summer or part-time during the school year. (Although, for some reason I always thought "externship" was reserved for the situation when you received school credit.)

Awesome... internship it is (as it was during the summer and I received no credit). Much appreciated.
