In secondary markets it's common for students to work at firms year round PT. I dont think the absence of such work would be seen as a negative, but OP may later find himself directly competing with people who have the additional experience and connections, which might give them a leg up.Bosque wrote:What kind of ridiculousness is this? Not necessarily. But then again, it doesn't look good.Anonymous User wrote:What if you just go to school during 2L--does this look bad with employers?

Yup. I've been around intermittently this year. Good to see you too!altoidz wrote:youre back too!!!Aeroplane wrote: In secondary markets it's common for students to work at firms year round PT. True, but that wasn't the question. He asked if it would look bad: it won't. So long as the OP does SOMEthing besides just class, he should be fine.Aeroplane wrote:In secondary markets it's common for students to work at firms year round PT. They'll probably get a boost--do something besides take classes in the fall. Most employers are going to ask about extracurriculars--i.e., moot court/journals. If you don't have those, get cracking on getting an internship.mollie wrote:I'm worried about this--people are putting their upcoming fall internships on their resumes and employers at OCI are going to see this. Won't that give those with upcoming fall internships an advantage over those that don't?
Same way one can look for full time employment:curious as to just how you go about getting these internships? just send in your resume and offer your services? e-mail, call, network?
