So in [Employers -> Show all] I am "alternate (3)", for Skadden, I was unscheduled yesterday - yet today I appear scheduled for Jul 29th.

For another firm, I'm an "alternate(20)" and have not been scheduled at all.

what does this mean?? Am I an alternate at Skadden still, or have I been elevated to pre-selected status?

Sounds like you got it, congrats. Supposedly schedules could change anytime before tomorrow and it sounds like you got slotted in.
