What do non-litigation lawyers spend the most time doing?

Probably a stupid question, but I tried searching on here / googling and couldn't find much.

What would constitute a fairly typical daily routine for a lawyer in a Big-(larger)mid firm in a non-litigation department?

Is the work intellectually stimulating or does it become overly mundane?

Dilligence. Drafting transactional documents. More diligence.
