I'm having a phone conference with a 2nd year associate at Simpson Thacher tomorrow evening. Figured I'd grab some extra questions from TLS. Shoot.

Teachers may have "pets," but attorneys rarely do, especially 2nd years and Simpson TTThacher. Stop trying to be something that doesn't exist.

I'm not using this to network, I already know it's a weak shot if I were to try. I think you got my intentions wrong, and I probably put this in the wrong thread. Just seeing if anyone has any random questions they want answered. I'm talking to this associate more about his/her experience through law school and his/her first two years of employment.

Simpson is looking for midlevels in Private Equity, I'm sure. Other than that, I don't know.

Probably not useful, unless you want some OCI fodder.

I'm interested in arming myself with some fodder for OCI as well. Would cold-emailing law school alumni at various firms prove gauche?
