Median at t10 - where should I bid?

Post by Anonymous User » Sat Jun 19, 2010 11:34 am

Slight downward trend, no WE.

Where should I be bidding? Reaches/Targets/Safeties? General Vault/NLJ 250/whatever ranges would be helpful, if we could make it that formulaic. Interested in corporate transactional work, haven't decided on anything more specific. Looking at NYC, maybe a bit of Chicago and DC. Don't have strong ties to anywhere, but from the Midwest, and school feeds into NYC and DC.

With no ties and average grades, I would probably avoid DC and Chicago and just use all my bids on NYC.

Vault rankings really aren't all that helpful as really highly ranked firms (Weil at #6) can often be much easier to get than lower ranked firms (Irell at #50).

That being said, I think someone at median from a T10 should be bidding very widely - as high as a couple V20s and as low as firms well outside the V100.
