I'm not the OP but thank you so much! Can any others confirm the scale is still the same? What do you think the OCI bid list should look like for someone around median this year?
I'm really surprised the curve is so spread out, when most grades are B and B+.

I can't confirm the accuracy of this scale, but I will say that the spread isn't so surprising. Even though Bs and B+s are the most common grades, people I have talked to are all over the map in terms of grades. Some people have 1 A, 1 A-, 3 Bs, 1 B+. Other people even have two As and two Bs with an A- thrown in for good measure.
1L year you have 7 grades and there are quite a few permutations possible. At the very top and bottom of the scale people tend to be somewhat consistent. There are a few consistent A/A+ people and a few (sadly) consistent B- people. But the magnificent middle consists of a lot of variations which all add up to slight differences in the spread.

5-10% A or better
10-15% A-s
35-25% B+s (no more than 55% can get B+ or better)
25-35% B (no more than 93% I think can get B or higher)
7-15% B-
Cs are discretionary
