Pretty sure top 1/3 MVP still has a somewhat decent shot at biglaw, especially since we're getting 100+ more offices at OCI this year compared to last year. Seeking real advice, from NON-ZERO Ls.

Isn't there a career services office for this sort of thing?

Career services mainly seem to exist to spin the numbers, and instill hope in current — and especially prospective — students. The only relevant information they have would be from last year, and they're not terribly forthcoming about it. Hence people asking here.

Sorry, 0 L here, but with real advice.

ITE don't pick and choose. Think volume, not precision.

Schools give you a limited number of bids. At UVA you have 50 (for hundreds of interviewers) - other schools are more or less. You have to actually pick fair carefully.

So the way it works at UVA is: I pick 50 firms, I get X interviews, Y callbacks, and Z offers. Hopefully Z >= 1
Thanks. Good to know.

Follow-up Q: What distinguishes a school-affiliated "bid" with "sending your resume on your own time"?
