Happy Days Here Again? Legal Sector, Yes, Adds Jobs in May

So much doom and gloom for the legal sector it is nice to see the smallest amount of improvement:

Well, it didn’t exactly send the nation’s law students into the streets cheering, but it was welcome news nonetheless: The legal sector added jobs in May, 300 jobs to be exact. Click here for the quick American Lawyer article.
In ordinary times, Friday’s news likely wouldn’t have been, well, news. But these are not ordinary times: Even during the so-called recovery, the legal industry has been shedding jobs.
April saw a loss of 1,100 jobs; March, February, and January saw losses of 500, 100 and 1,100, respectively.
It’s not 2006, when demand for lawyers practically outstripped supply, but it’s a start. A few more months like May, and law schools might be able to stop handing out Prozac alongside the casebooks.

That's still a glimmer of hope, certainly it's preferable to zero expansion of the legal market.

Your optimisim is inspiring. But more likely than not it is simply a correction for the 2,700 jobs lost from Jan. to April, 300 of which were still apparently needed.

Call me when when this is a trend... say in August or September. Until then, I'll remain skeptical. I do hope to go from skeptical ---> cautiously optimistic.
