Need to expunge juvenile record?

I got arrested a few years ago while I was a teen. I was not prosecuted, but I was fingerprinted, booked, and then required to participate in community service. I was arrested for possession of graffiti tools, and engaging in the practice of defacing property with graffiti.

My juvenile record has not been expunged. No charges were ever filed against me, and once I completed my 500 hours of community service, the problem was gone -- until now.

What happens if I don't expunge my juvenile record and I apply for the BAR? If I do expunge, I understand that I can officially say that I have never been arrested. Do I even need to expunge my juvenile record?

Since I became of legal age, I have not been arrested nor had any run-ins with the law.

I am not seeking legal advice, just some opinions before I proceed to pay for legal services. Thank you.

Odds are the bar questionnaire asks if you have ever been arrested regardless of if you are charged/it was expunged/it was dismissed/whatever. "Expungement" as it exists in a state also doesn't necessarily do anything about arrest records. That's more about conviction records.

This is teenage property shit. Just fess up.
