Top Law Schools

I am a BS/MS in EE currently working at a very well respected high tech firm as a Systems Engineer, and planning on applying to law school this fall.

With that in mind, which of these three choices would you think is most beneficial when in the future I am looking for work as a patent attorney (probably prosecution, but wouldn't completely shut out litigation)?

A. Just finish out my last year in my current position
+ good reference
- I'm bored and could be doing better things with my time
B. Try to transfer into the R&D department
+ cooler work and better sounding title on resume
- potentially loose a good rec because the company would probably be pissed I quit after only one year in this department
C. Try to find a job as a technical specialist at an IP law firm
+ more exposure to law
+ might look good on my resume
- not sure how hard these are to obtain, whether they would hire for only a year, nor what their pay is like
- I don't want to be forced to work part time during law school

So basically, which of these three would you most recommend in terms of finding employment after law school?

A. Possibly consider studying for and taking the patent bar if you're bored. Tech specialist jobs are few and far between.
