Pre-law school employment

I'm graduating from college in June and am currently applying to various legal positions in Chicago that will help me determine whether I'd really like to pursue a career in law.

I've been going to firm websites, job sites, my college's job site applying for paralegal, legal assistant, project assistant type positions that are entry-level, but I was wondering if anybody had any advice or suggestions as to which jobs would be most beneficial for getting legal experience. Any other tips that would help me find a job are also greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

I'm not really looking for a leg up or anything, I'm just trying to figure out what I want to do with my life. I've thought about going to law school for awhile, but I realize it's often glorified and I'd just like to get some experience to see if it's for me. By "beneficial" in my original post I didn't mean career advancing or anything, I meant more what kind of jobs would be beneficial in determining whether law is right for me as a career. I'm much more interested in doing something interesting and challenging as a profession than worrying about money. Plus, I need a job and professional experience anyway so...

And even if I decide I like legal work, I don't really have any set time period for law school. It would probably be at least two years though.
