Any bidding strategy for loyola patent interview program?

It's starting next week. We are allowed to bid 32 firms, right?

I would like to know as well.
Some firms have multiple offices going, right? If so, if you apply multiple offices from the same firm, does each one count against the 32?

I've just created a spreadsheet with inputs: firm name, locations, whether they specifically hire from top law schools, and whether they tend to hire based upon advanced degrees. The output is a judgment call, based upon that information, whether a bid would be worth it--my attempt at de-subjectivizing the process.

Although I'm sure that despite having a reg#, my BME degree/lack of substantive experience/non-top-law-school will prevent me from getting any interviews, and all of this will be in vain.

Edit: Fml.
i know we have two weeks-is there any advantage to getting it in right away? they dont look at them until may 6 right?

As someone who spent 3 years consulting, transforming qualitative data into quantitative outputs, I have to say that spreadsheet sounds...interesting.

Big Shrimpin wrote:The firm list is from last year--I'm not a misguided 1L noob and yes, I am aware that ITE less firms will probably go, but until they post a list of firms for this year (unless I missed it?), last year's list will have to do.
This year >>> last year from every OCI/OGI report I've heard, I wouldn't expect a dramatic decrease this year (constant or increase more likely). Unless IP law is on a slightly different cycle.

The email said there were 33 for 3Ls. I do not know how many of those were unique or how many there were last year.

Big Shrimpin wrote:Yeh--I won't know if I made LR until mid-June. lol. How does that work, "update" all 32 bids? Yeah right.

But seriously--does anybody think it would be a bad idea to write somewhere on the resume when LR decisions/grade release is for spring semester?
I dont understand how any 2L bidding now would know about LR? I guess they just emphasize that if accepted, they want you to participate in LR/journals?

Bad idea - they know that 99%+ of 1Ls who will be on law review or journals are not yet.
