How long after the day of your callback does it usually take a firm to notify you that you've been hired? I recently interviewed with a V100 firm and I'm wondering whether the time lapse means a ding is in my future.

Is this for a job for the summer or a permanent position? What V100 firms are still interviewing now? Are you in a secondary or tertiary market? In fall interviewing, my offers for the summer came as quickly as a week after my callback interview to 40 days after the callback. Depends on how many people they are interviewing and where you fall on their depth chart (for the one that called me a week later, I know I was at the top of their list; for the one that called me 40 days later with an offer, I know I was not at the top of their list because my friend turned down an offer from them 3 weeks before that).

It would help if you could provide more details about your situation.

no clue, every firm is different. If it's only been a week then don't sweat it. If it's been over 2 weeks give them a call to check in.

edit: I'm assuming you're talking about 1L summer employment and you had your callback interview recently

thanks for your help and insight. It's for a summer position in a primary market (NY/LA/DC/Chi). And yes, I'm a 1L and I had my callback a little over a week ago, but not yet 2 weeks.

I heard 3 weeks after my callback. Got in touch with the recruiter 2 weeks in to see what the deal was. Apparently I was the first one interviewed, so I had to wait a little longer than usual. I would just call the recruiter at about two weeks. They're usually happy to give you some info about what's going on

No. For the record, the OP interviewed with a V100; I don't think any firm that people would consider a 'boutique' is in the V100.
