Hi,

I have several years of experience as a Human Resources Professional. I will be starting law school next year and I would like to start working in the legal field.

How can I go about transitioning from human reousrces to legal?

I think you are asking if there is some work/position you can do in between now and starting law school to help with the transition. My advice. Don't worry about it. You'll have plenty of time to learn about law in law school and with whatever jobs you end up with on the other side. For now, assuming you're already admitted to law, enjoy your current work in HR, or even take some time off and travel so you're relaxed and refreshed for some years of serious studying.

Earn high grades at whatever school you attend, and if you do well enough to get OCI interviews, be sure to lay out why your work experience in HR will contribute to the firm. Earn poor grades, and pray that someone will take you back to HR with the scarlet letter, erm, law degree on your resume.
