Don't know much, but I'm interested. Anyone have any experience in this practice area they'd like to share?

If I were you I would try and talk to Jareth Cutestory, he helped me with my seal deal.

Marine pollution is where the action is. The rise of arbitration, forum-selection, and venue-selection clauses in contractual agreements have greatly reduced litigation of traditional maritime law matters, but costly and complex marine pollution cases seem to be generating a ton of work.

That being said, Kawasaki Kisen Kaisha v. Regal-Beloit Corporation, to be argued before the Supreme Court later this year, could have far-reaching effects on cargo claims, and could also lead to a great deal of litigation.

It's a fascinating field if you are into jurisdictional/procedural wrangling.
