Legal Markets

I'm studying for the LSAT and preparing for the application process. I have a background in Information Technology, or will in May. I feel that I would be well placed in Intellectual Property law with this background. I know there is certainly a good IP market in California, given Silicon Valley and such. However, I'm not sure where there are other lucrative IP markets. I've been told that the Boston area is good, perhaps also Texas.

Does anyone have any other suggestions?

Here's a bubble map of patent development per capita by region. You can click on the map to find detailed information, for example Austin produced 4,600 patents in 2002, but San Jose produced 21,000.

Also a link here:

The big markets seem to be California, Texas, and NY.
