I've been accepted as well. I'm 99% sure that's where I'm headed in August.
I just visited the school this past Friday. It's just one building but it looks pretty big on the inside--not unlike a TARDIS. Everything looks brand new and Dean Hutson is pretty cool. Have you visited yet?

I have yet to visit the campus, but have been to Concord many times and enjoy the area. I have also met with recent graduates and they all tell me they could not be happier with their decision to attend. Do you know where you will be living, or looked at any places yet?

I looked at some places and can't really say that I was wholly impressed. I did send in a deposit for a studio across the street from the school.

Yeah, I am in the middle of haggling for a one bedroom/bath near school. There are not many apartment complexes near the school. The ones that are in the vicinity seem to be just as old as the houses near the school.

Have you checked out the school yet? Have
Honestly, despite having sent in deposits to the school and to a realty company, I'm still torn. Everything seems nice and all and they have a lot to offer in terms of concentrations. I have also been accepted to U. North Dakota and they are a hell of a lot cheaper and have a lower cost of living. I'm just debating which one is worth it for me. Anyway, do you have a science background? What do you think you'll be focusing on?

I do not have a science background (History major), but I recently visited and like the area. I agree that the cost is of great concern, however I their is great opportunity as well. Not sure on what my area of focus will be, but I am leaning to advocacy or criminal defense. I personally know two attorneys down here in South Florida that graduated Franklin Pierce and have only good things to say about those concentrations. *I am in a similar situation, just got off the wait list at UALR Bowen School of law. It is 15 grand cheaper in tuition, but I really want to live up north, outside of New York.

I'm from NYC and have lived in Miami for the past two years. I'm anxious to put the last two years behind me.
I'd love to return to New England but at the same time I do want to experience something new. Like I said, I'm almost 100% sure that I'm going up there; it's just that I feel that the IP specialization is given a great deal of attention over everything else. I have an Art degree but have worked in IT for the last 4 years. Further to that, I just completed my MBA and think I'm going to try taxation. Before the patent bar requirements recession crushed my dreams I hoped to become the Chief Counsel at a Silicon Valley firm. Oh well.
I looked up the FPLC on Martindale and they do have a great deal of alumni in high places so that is reassuring. Do you think you'll stick around the north or head back to SFL?

no plans on returning in the near future. Did you get the orientation email yesterday? Sounds like a busy three days.

Sorry, I haven't been keeping up with the site. Yeah it will be a busy three days. And we have the case to brief. Pretty exciting stuff.
So you think you'll just ditch UALR and head up to FPLC? NYC is probably about 5 hours away and from what I've read, FPLC places well in Boston and NYC. What are you currently doing here in Florida?

I am 100% going to FPCL. I have already heard from my 2L mentor, as well as some professors. Concord seems like a desirable place to live and NE in general appeals to me. I saw the case brief we have to do for orientation. I think I am going to make the move around the first of August. When do you think you will make your way up there?

Well, I put a deposit down on a place for August. I'll be driving up then. Are you on the official Facebook page for the class? I'm Phil.

Members of the Franklin Pierce Class of 2012, I have moved your thread to the cleverly-disguised "Class of 2012" subforum. Continue posting; may you live long and prosper.

Yeah, just joined. I'm Anthony. Filling-out my paperwork for the place I'm going to rent. Planning on moving-in August 1st. I am not excited about the drive though.
