Is anyone going to the Phillies game in June? I didn't register yet but I thought it would be fun! Are there still seats available?

It's official. Memorial Day weekend, I'm driving to Philly to check out apartments and hopefully put in some applications.

After posting that this morning I went ahead and just registered! I'm excited to meet you guys/girls in real life! I'm probably going to take the train, too, but unfortunately I don't really have to take off work the whole day...

Re: Drexel Class of 2012
Do I have to have an original/official transcript sent to Drexel from my UG? I tried finding this info on their website with no luck and I don't remember it being said in my admission packet, but if they do need one I wanted to put in the request before summer break kicks in.

I think you just need to send in the transcripts you haven't sent into LSAC yet, but I'd ask them to be sure.

Thank you! And you were right - I don't need to send anything. I emailed Tiffany and she got back to me in an hour and half! I love that about this school!Mulliganstew wrote:I think you just need to send in the transcripts you haven't sent into LSAC yet, but I'd ask them to be sure.

Drexel has, by far, the best communication from its admissions office of any school I applied to.

does this include incredibly cheesy e-cards? i actually did find the admissions people very pleasant to talk to, although i will say it was odd that they e-mailed me saying they would let me know if i got in within 3-4 weeks then called me the same day to tell me i got in.Mulliganstew wrote:Drexel has, by far, the best communication from its admissions office of any school I applied to.

Hell yeah it includes incredibly cheesy e-cards! It's better than being a number.johankian wrote:does this include incredibly cheesy e-cards? i actually did find the admissions people very pleasant to talk to, although i will say it was odd that they e-mailed me saying they would let me know if i got in within 3-4 weeks then called me the same day to tell me i got in.Mulliganstew wrote:Drexel has, by far, the best communication from its admissions office of any school I applied to.

Wow, 21% of the people reporting jobs got into big law firms. Drexel must be doing something right.

Is there more to that article that I can't see because I'm not a "Paid Subscriber"?

I'm touring four of them this weekend. I'm going to spend the whole weekend lost.murphyslaw12 wrote:I'm going to look at an apt in Rittenhouse Sq and one in Washington Sq tomorrow! yay

Not so well. I'm going to take another trip out in June to try again, but I think I'm going to be looking for roommates now. All the places I can afford alone are in bad neighborhoods.

How much can you spend per month?

You should look in Manayunk. It's a short train ride away from Campus, but the area is very reasonable and fun. Tons of bars/restaurants. It's a quick drive if you plan to bring your car. The rents are way cheaper than the city.
Also try the Fairmount section in Philly. Not too far from campus, still safe.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?
