Accepted off the waitlist last Friday, received my admissions packet (or should I say box) today. First of all, Vandy by far has sent the most professional packet of the schools I've been accepted to--the class of 2012 guidebook looks like a glossy yearbook for crying out loud! I don't see anything about financial aid though, do they send that separately or is there a website I should look at? Stoked about Vandy!

Vandy info comes separate my love...ALTHOUGH, I will warn you that Dean Willard and Morton are claiming that there is no more money in the budget (so chances of getting $$ from Vandy when you're coming off the waitlist are slim). Good luck though.

FYI- For those of you who got in off of the waitlist on the 30th, our financial aid stuff should be coming through via email Monday or Tuesday. I was told that if it does not come through by then, we will be given an extension.

I was told something similar when I called Wednesday. They're really nice over there.

Any waitlist/admit candidates receive their financial aid information?

I visited Vandy today and wound up giving them my deposit AND submitting an application for an apartment. I planned on attending WashU despite having been accepted to Vandy off the wait list because WashU gave me a scholarship. Getting a little money from Vandy made me change my mind, though. This had been my first choice initially and it's closer to home.

Just mailed my deposit to Vandy. The prospect of paying sticker though is making me nervous. Someone please reassure me that I'm making the right choice and that it'll all be worth it

DC I am sending a deposit too...giving up some serious $ but I believe it's worth it, Vandy is really a fantastic school.
See ya'll there in the fall! (God it will feel good to have my ya'll back after being stuck in the Northeast for 2 years)

Thanks. I put in an application and deposit for Twenty and Grand. We didn't check too many places out, but I guess it will be nice to walk to school and back. Plus, my parents liked it (the place at least appears safe), and they're helping out. I'm actually getting a little excited about about next year now.

So, can we anticipate another batch from the waitlist now that you folks have turned in your deposits? Have we had any communications indicating this?

I sent my deposit in yesterday too! Getting pretty excited and glad this process is wrapping up. Now, if I could only get my deposit back from my other school....anyone hear of this being possible and have some tips?

I'm sure that they will be waiting until Monday or so, once they sure they've received all the deposits. Depending on how many they get back they could be making some more offers. It seems logical to me that they would be conservative with the number of offers they give out in the first round and then incrementally fill up whatever spots are left, rather than getting too many students in the class, i.e., if they have 20 spots left, they might make 20 offers, 10 of which will be accepted - then they'll make 10 more offers, etc. They've got nothing to lose following this system but getting too many accepted offers could be a problem. I could be totally wrong but that's my two cents. Good luck

My deposit is in! Fin Aid received. Happy to be going to Nashville. Trying to live alone for the first year. Any suggestions on where to find cheap singles?

Just turned in my deposit today...a week late after Vandy gracefully extended my deadline a week so I could graduate undergrad this past Saturday. Looking forward to seeing everyone in the fall! Are you getting roommates or living alone?

Hey all, I'm not really a Facebook person, so I apologize for using this as a venue for an ad.

I'm a 25 year-old female looking for a roommate, preferably a human. I'm Vandy 2012, and I'm looking mostly at 20 & Grand and Bristol on Broadway, because even though I have a car, I'm one of those roll out of bed, wipe the sleep out of my eyes, and go type of people, and I'd like to live in a space I can fell happy about occupying. I'm neat and tidy, although not obsessive about it, I like to cook good food, jog in scenic areas, I love a good movie, and I like to jam to my tunes. I'm very laid-back.

I'll be moving from L.A., but I'm originally from Michigan, and the gender of my potential roommate doesn't matter.

Feel free to PM me if I look like a good match for you.

Thanks.
