Congrats on your decision man, what put you over the edge?
PS - Maryland is mailing out their financial aid awards (non-scholarship) either today or tomorrow from what I'm told.

nice exciting...just what i told you about yesterday i like dc/maryland a lot and it gives me the option of practicing in the area which i would be happy with...and with a lot less debt than emory i wont be pigeonholed into big law when i graduate thus ending my life as we know it haha

i just got a call from one of the associate deans and im gonna be interviewed for a "leadership scholarship"
very excited about this i wonder what kinda $ they are talking about
any of you know anything about this?

It is good news, and I am very jealous. I asked for them to give me a second look.
It is usually pretty good money from what I have heard... I think around $45k for 3 years (which after in-state tuition, makes it pretty nice)
Granted, not everyone who interviews gets the $$, and I was told they have fewer scholarships this year than last year due to lack of funds.
But still, that is good news!

yeah they e-mailed me friday with like an urgent thingy and were like please call back regarding your app i was like wtf you cant take it back maryland! haha

Sadly Officially withdrew from Maryland today, this one really stung lol. I guess this is the end of my almost obsessive Maryland thread search lol. Anyways wish you guys all the best!!!

I was interviewed a few weeks ago - it was actually a full day. The interview was not intimidating at all, I actually asked most of the questions! I was offered near full tuition, so yes, it can be substantial money. Good luck!!

What made the decision for you? I LOVE the state of Maryland, so I would never mind working there, and the school's quite upcoming on my list of possible places.

Stats/Location?
My grandparents lived both in Hagerstown and Frederick and now reside in Greencastle, PA (right above the border minutes away)
That and Annapolis is gorgeous, and I love the bay
