I've begun looking now but nothing really serious. I real estate person I spoke to though said you should start two weeks before you plan on moving, but I find that too sudden. I'll be heading up in mid July to find something for Aug 1st.

absolutely....july 1 you can start it up...any earlier, you'll encounter a bit of trouble having people entertain your search

I've also heard that there was a game without adequate room on the page for diagramming. I hope Cake and the other June testers still hit the damn thing out of the ballpark, but I am starting to believe it was a blessing that I listened to you guys and didn't retake for the wrong reasons. I would have gotten killed.

Re: Housing: My own preference is to spend about a month looking, if at all possible, and certainly if you are picky about cost, location or amenities. I've been through the housing labyrinth three times, and I actually enjoy the challenge, if that doesn't sound too messed up.

I need to go back and read all the ATL comments. I am now quite curious... As for the salary figure quoted, it could be accurate if it takes all graduates into consideration, not just those going into private practice. It might also be the average of the 20 kids interviewed, which isn't too likely to make it a representative sample.

In a broader sense, I'm just glad there are people left in the world who don't believe things will stay this way forever.

FYI, I received an email from Fordham granting me housing in McMahon Hall for next year. (I kind of forgot I even applied for housing way back when. Oops.) Anyway, I've withdrawn my request, so people on the housing waitlist who are dying to get into the dorm--email Fordham! (You can pm me for the housing contact.)

Got into Fordham last week and sent in my deposit all before ever seeing the school. I took a guided tour yesterday. The group was all prospectives. They were surprised I would accept and deposit without ever seeing the school. I was like yeah but I got into Fordham so what's the difference?! Is that really weird?

LOL, it's basically true. She was a bit incoherent when she called earlier today, and then we were both screaming, and my roommate came running to see if anyone was getting raped and murdered. I think she was disappointed.

I am sad about missing the meetup... I'll be in Boston with my little sister. Everyone else go, and post details!
