What a badass. But seriously, as long as these beatings don't migrate into the law library, we'll be fine.He didn't realize his jaw was broken until a hospital visit the next afternoon.

I kid, I kid.
I'm a little skeptical about the extent of this whole business because of this dude not knowing his jaw was broken. Maybe he couldn't diagnose it with precision but c'mon. How do you not know that your jaw is fucked up until the next day? Something's fishy.

has anyone already/been thinking about forwarding on their Iowa law email address to gmail? I don't know if it will be beneficial to use outlook (I have friends at Iowa that use it to schedule meetings with other students). I just love gmail though.

Re: Iowa 2012
I probably will. I already check 2 e-mails daily. Three would be just more cumbersome. I will use it, however, to respond to messages. But with it forwarded, I can see if any need a response from Hawkmail (Professor/Faculty) or if I can use Gmail instead.isustudent wrote:has anyone already/been thinking about forwarding on their Iowa law email address to gmail? If we can use Outlook (as in the program), I will do that but I kinda hate Outlook Web Access.crystalhawkeye wrote:I probably will. I already check 2 e-mails daily. Does anyone know anything about deferrals? There is a chance I might not be able to make it in the fall due to some unfortunate circumstances...
Specifically, does anyone know: if I am granted a deferral (which I hope wouldn't be a problem), does that necessarily mean my scholarship will carry over as well?

I think they would reconsider your scholarship after the deferral. I don't think it's automatic but I doubt they'd change it much.rainmaker614 wrote:Does anyone know anything about deferrals? There is a chance I might not be able to make it in the fall due to some unfortunate circumstances...

I don't know about your deferral rm, but it makes me sad to think you won't be joining us in the fall.rainmaker614 wrote:Does anyone know anything about deferrals? There is a chance I might not be able to make it in the fall due to some unfortunate circumstances...

Although I certainly agree with this, it does make me a little hopeful as my chances of getting some late aid would go from .01 to .02.Whitty wrote:I don't know about your deferral rm, but it makes me sad to think you won't be joining us in the fall.rainmaker614 wrote:Does anyone know anything about deferrals? They might be more willing than normal to defer now because they are currently overenrolled. At least they were when I talked to Dean Byrd at the luncheon in Des Moines a few weeks back.

Thanks everyone. I'll find out for sure at the end of the week so we'll see then... I'll be pretty bummed if I can't make it this year, I really had my hopes up.

Has anybody who has talked to anybody on the admissions committee gotten the sense that Iowa will be letting people off the waitlist?

Re: Iowa 2012
The last I heard Iowa was actually a little over-enrolled, but if you're curious about where you stand I would call/email Dean Byrd. He's really helpful and straightforward with people so if you're dying to know, he's the man to ask.reachjules wrote:Has anybody who has talked to anybody on the admissions committee gotten the sense that Iowa will be letting people off the waitlist?
