You only have to withdraw from schools you have been admitted to, and commit to not apply anywhere else. You can keep any waitlists/decision pendings.asaunde2 wrote:not if you dont mind giving up 450 bucks.
On the other hand, it does have to come with the Intent to Enroll form, where you have to sign that you are withdrawing from all other schools, so that might be a bit tough to get around.

Alright, I'm in, full debt load and all. Now I'm gonna need someone to shepherd me through the apartment search, seeing as how a) I'm poor and b) have a dog, which eliminates the dorm thing. Then again, sleeping in a dorm twin bed for 1L does not sound appealing to me.

How long did it take to get your NYU email and ID#? The website says 10 days, but just wondering how accurate that turned out to be for others.
I submitted my Intent to Enroll form online on April 1 and still haven't been able to log in to get my NYU ID

Don't we need the NYU ID to apply for housing and things? Also they have some sort of off-campus housing listing that you need an ID to access that I would like to check out, so I really hope they give out ID's soon, maybe it'll be after the May 1 deadline.

Just wanted to say hi; I sent in my deposit on the 14th too, and I'm excited to have made a decision (and about NYU, of course).
I'm living in NY now so I'd be down for some 0L summer socializing..

We should plan random get togethers.

aguyingeoriga -- what's your status, did you defer last year? just curious since you're all over the 2011 and the 2012 forums.
also will most likely be in the city for the summer!! actually considering living in Mercer or D'Ag for the summer (assuming I can still get a spot) can't wait! : )

Re: NYU 2012
So I submitted my deposit on Monday. Really excited about being at NYU in the fall.
Question though, since I submitted I haven't heard anything from the law school. Not even a confirmation. Is this normal? Just wanted to make sure I didn't do something wrong.

Did you submit online? I did and got an email titled "NYU - Law Tuition Deposit (Payment Receipt)" moments later.

I also didnt hear jack from them after i submitted. I sent emails to both admissions and financial aid asking them to confirm that i was enrolled just for some peace of mind. That, combined with the fact that NYU is the only institution on the planet that doesnt accept Visa, made the whole enrolling process alot more complex than it needs to be.

NYU might start accepting Visa again. I hear that since NYU LAW has reclaimed the Dean's Cup, Visa is looking to become a corporate sponsor/partner with the school.

Hey all, I sent in my deposit and I'm excited for NYU! As for some of you, the decision-making isn't over though - now I continue to flip-flop on the student housing vs. off-campus housing issue. So many pro's for on-campus, but a few obvious cons ($$$, dorm furnishings - although a 1L on this site mentioned to me that there are ways around the twin beds!). Anyway, looking forward to the fall!

Anyone wants to chat about anything, aguyingeorgia1 on AIM.
Chat topics will include eateries, how to put a queen-sized bed in your dorm room, the best place to get hit by a car, the number for McDonald's delivery to the dorms, and many other fascinating topics. I'm wide open.
