Yale Law School Class of 2012

Honestly, I think that because I mentioned the decision I have to make b/w H & Y they were quick to get someone to talk me out of my deluded state. He basically touched a couple things that were important to me.. like if the small class size limited the diversity of interests one would be able to pursue. He pointed out that you really _can_ do anything you want at Yale because the profs. and faculty are incredibly accessible. We're going to talk again tomorrow -- I'm really concerned with the possibility of not finding like-minded individuals at YLS because the incoming class is just so small (only 60 "minority" students).

Coming from a very small UG, let me assure you that it is usually more difficult to find differently-minded individuals. (Not sure what the "minority" comment was about.)

I don't, I was just playing cuz I didn't get contacted by a buddy. I've been accepted into my dream school, I'm fuckin ecstatic.

As far as like minded students, I'm looking forward to seeing how organized the LLSA is. It's not a deciding factor for me, but will definitely make the experience more comfortable.

Haha, I'm telling you man.. once they heard hesitation in my voice you bet your ass they were writing down someone to call me. At least that's my theory. I'm interested to see the LLSA too.. hopefully its not just full of white Latino-philes

yeah, this and the Latinos who didn't discover their roots until they got to college are the reasons I participated in zero undergrad "Latino" clubs.

Don't get me started. I've had some bad experiences, including having to defend myself as actually "Latino" because I'm lighter skinned.

i spoke with the 1l assigned to me. she was very helpful and answered most of my questions. also, i told them i was really only looking at yls so that shouldn't matter for those waiting to hear from your buddies.

When did you hear from her? Was it recent? I haven't received anything.

the link they gave was bad I couldn't figure out how to sign up for the ASW. I just did though, needed the online materials via facebook group.

I guess I didn't get in because of my tech knowledge
