I just got back from Thanksgiving break and the acceptance envelope was in my mailbox! I'm pretty excited since I am from the Chicago area and would eventually like to work near Chicago. Anyone else hear back from them yet?! Good luck to everyone!!!

Yea, I received the scholarship email on the 26th and my letter was dated on the 24th. I did not know if the scholarship email was sent to everyone or not. But I would assume that if you get the scholarship email, that is a pretty good sign that you are accepted. I just didn't know I was accepted since my letter was sitting in my school mailbox.

Congrats. I think that the University of Wisconsin is underrated as they have excellent faculty members and Madison is the epitome of a great college town. Plus the tuition is quite nice. While I do not blame you for wanting to practice in Chicago vs. Wisconsin, UW having graduates automatically pass the Wisconsin Bar is a nice safety option.
Cheers,
Ken

Wow. You have near identical numbers to me (160/160/3.94). Granted they may not average, but your average is my score. Maybe this is a good sign of future events...

Crystal,
I really like your chances to get in. Your LSAT is definitely in their range and your LSAT is way over their 75th percentile. Please keep me posted, but I would say you would get in. Good Luck!!!

jsaveri, are you a WI resident? I'm tryin to get it with a 160/3.73 (being a WI resident) and am trying to gauge how much of a boost my residency will give me.

Nvoight,
I'm an Illinois resident so being an instate applicant is probably to your advantage. The only disadvantage I would see about being an instate resident is the tuition break you receive which means less money for the school. However, schools always like to take a lot of their "own." With your numbers, you should be able to get in. Like me, you should be able to lean on your GPA. Good luck, keep me posted!

Congratulations!!!! Madison is awesome, many of my friends went there. I was invited to the Malpractice Ball when I was in dental school, lots of fun.

I got the scholarship email, but I'm guessing everyone who applied received it as well. I put my chances of getting in between 50/50 and slim.
It's my top choice, so here's to hoping!

Does anyone know if the scholarship email means anything toward acceptance? I have my fingers crossed that it is a good sign! Maybe I'm being optimistic, but hey....Congrats on your acceptance!!

Congratulations to everyone who has been accepted so far! To everyone else waiting with me, hang in there! Now that the acceptances have started, I've started to feel anxious. I'm already at Wisconsin for undergrad and I would love three more years.
Any word of anyone NOT receiving the scholarship e-mail?

Im at UW right now for undergrad as well. I would love to stay here for another three years...though the way the weather has been the last couple of days could definitely be changing my decision if it stays like this for the next 4 months (which it probably will)

Yay midwest winters!!!
