To the people who didn't get any money: did your letters mention the possibility of getting money later?

well i'm sure a portion of the scholarship people will withdraw after may 1st, so if you place the first deposit (non-binding but non-refundable) you might end up with some money.

Beh, I go with the philosophy that they can't take away money if I ask for a little more.

we should all get a house together, except legends will have to pay for it since he got the scholarship money.

That's a little disappointing...not everywhere is more expensive to live in than Charlottesville. Specifically, Duke gave me more money. :/ Though if I can convince them that I'm in-state (been paying VA income tax since 2007 for pete's sake) UVA would still be slightly cheaper...

Think, think, think...

That's interesting... This is a quote from e-mail with UVA financial aid where we were talking about scholarships.
Should you receive other such offers, please feel free to make that information available to our office.

One more question for yall---I don't trust my assumptions when it comes to fin aid.
It says well find out about need based aid in a few weeks--would that include need based scholarships(the site notes there are merit scholarships and "merit and need based" scholarships), or are they basically just implying loans and govt funds?

Congrats to those of yall who got money! For those of yall in the 6 figure club, I'm down for some brainstorming on creative law school financing...

Yes, I did indeed say "yall" three times..its part of a terrible condition that will probably only grow more severe with my remaining in a southern school...

Does anyone know if there is a deadline for filling out the financial aid form? I actually got a scholarship from UVA yesterday, but never filled that out and probably need to.

MHP as well.

Stats in profile. I am incredibly surprised at my scholarship. Was not expecting it in the least. On LSN, my triangle is surrounded by waitlisters. I am thinking they took into account these so-called 'soft factors' I have been banking on since the beginning of this application cycle.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?
