I have a feeling I am going to have to go on a massive diet when I move to Cville.

There's also a Ruby Tuesday, Buffalo Wild Wings, Boston Market, a Thai place, a Mediterranean place, and a Lindt chocolate store.

This place is very, very good. It's "sit-down restaurant" style, but cheapish ($8-$10). Plus, the service is incredible.

i'm about to sign a lease on a 1BR at arlington court condos. unfortunately, i can't fly down to cville to see it. i've heard pretty good things about the complex, though, and its distance to the law school. so basically-- does anyone have any more input about the condos, or information? or [this would be ideal] photos? i will be eternally grateful, and you can be the first one invited to my swanky [once i fill it with ikea furniture] condo.

thanks!

What's it called?

Ruby Tuesday = yuck. I don't like any of those big chain sit down restaurants like Applebee's, Friday's, etc.

Something fun to share: Amazon's getting ready to launch a new big-screen Kindle with easier textbook/newspaper reading. One of the pilot schools that'll be offering it this fall include Darden at UVA. Pics/info: http://www.engadget.com/2009/05/04/amaz ... h-display/

Anyone doing JD/MBA? You might get to play with one of these things.

I leave for one week because of finals and my thesis (which I defended successfully this morning) and I missed the video game debate. Any FIFA fans?

I need to get on my loans for LS as well as figuring out what I need to do to defer my undergrad loans for the next three years. Fun times.

I know it has been explained on numerous pages, but this thread is way too long to spend an hour searching. Could someone tell me how to change this godawful password for SIS and my email? It won't let me do it via gmail. Thanks!

Sorry for backtracking the topic a few pages, but I have another question about private versus Grad PLUS loans... does anybody know if you can take private this year and do Grad PLUS next year? Or are we making a decision for all three years here? Thanks!

You can have your loan distribution reassessed next year.

I might be your neighbor on the other side. I got an unfurnished 1BR in the same building, deposit already paid.

Nope, still waiting for mine. I'm surprised its taking so long.

Interesting... there is a Mormon group at UVA Law (called the Rex E. Lee Law Society). They just sent out an email to the Mormon students that have paid their deposit (I am one of them), and there were 35 people on the list (a few of whom I know from the good ol' BYU Poli Sci department). We get a bad rap sometimes, but most of us are pretty chill. Don't worry. I just thought it was interesting.

As an honorary Mormon of the Stormin' Mormons softball team this past fall, I agree this is true.

In a liberal area, absolutely. People in Seattle generally have nothing but nasty things to say about Mormons.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?
