Re: Northwestern 2012
Anyone know how our 1-month delay compares to other schools (t-14, in partricular)? There appear to be a few postings for 1L summer positions that require a resume, writing sample, and transcript with fall semester grades to be submitted before January 8, 2010.TTT-LS wrote:I was going to mention the evil month-long wait, but thought I'd let the poor souls celebrate for a dy or so first. FWIW, grades were out 1/14 last year and 1/16 the year before.gollymolly wrote:Congratulations! You are officially done! (except for the whole waiting a month to find out how you did thing )

Re: Northwestern 2012
i'm going to Northwestern for an interview (all the way from CA) on March 4. are there any NU 1/2/3Ls who want to take a break from studying and hang out? i've never been to Chicago so I want to see the city a bit (though this part i'll probably do alone), see NU campus, and go to bars (maybe even crash a Bar Review??). PM me or respond here. either way i'm looking forward to meeting some NU students. in the meanwhile, stay classy, chicago, and enjoy the snowtorious B.I.G.!

fixed that for youCorsair wrote:At the very least I could post the location of bar review, though my understanding is attendance has been slipping. I do miss the "free vodka" or "free draft" until 9pm bar reviews ... there are a ton of bars in Chicago that practically give food and drinks away on Thursday nights and yet we seem to find the most overpriced and out-of-the-way locations.enygma wrote:fixed that for youCorsair wrote:At the very least I could post the location of bar review, though my understanding is attendance has been slipping. Re: Northwestern 2012
Here is how it was explained to me:
The problem is that the person in charge of OKing the bars likes clubs, not bars. So at least half of bar reviews are in clubs. No body wants to go to clubs. So we just go out to bars ourselves instead. Situation explained. Please target your hate where it is appropriate.

ha, I don't even know if it is true. All I know is that a lot of bar reviews are at clubs this year, and that is why a bunch of us no longer participate.chadwick218 wrote:do elaborate ...tome wrote:Here is how it was explained to me:

I've heard similar comments, though my own non-participation is due to prior commitments.tome wrote:ha, I don't even know if it is true. Hello rising 2L's. If anyone is willing to share outlines with me, I am looking for a few. I'm looking for Tiller for contracts, Reddish for Civ Pro and Dicola for Torts.
Thanks!

Hi everyone,
I was recently accepted as a transfer to Northwestern and was wondering if any current student would be willing to answering some questions I have via e-mail. If so, could you please message me your e-mail? I'd really appreciate it!
