The only people that really take trips to Canada are undergrads under the age of 21 (Windsor has a lot of bars and a drinking age of 19). Though, I guess you could take a trip to Toronto or even Niagara Falls or something if you really wanted to.safari wrote:So...do Michigan students take many spontaneous trips to Canada? TITCR. Also, correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't believe you are taxed by Caesar's Casino in Windsor on your winnings if you're an American citizen.itzjulz wrote:The only people that really take trips to Canada are undergrads under the age of 21 (Windsor has a lot of bars and a drinking age of 19). you are only taxed by the detroit casinos on your winnings if you self-report or you get a W-2G for a win in a single play (one blackjack hand or whatever) over 500.zettsscores40 wrote:TITCR. This is probably a silly question, but what is the banquet like tomorrow night for MAP? Is it formal or casual? Just wondering what I should wear.

I disagree, I would travel to Canada for their cheap pharmaceuticals and Celine Dion concerts. Plus I don't plan on getting health insurance in the states and I figured that we're only about an hour from the border so my plan is to carry enough gause with me to slow down the bleeding to sustain me for two hours as I direct the ambulance to get me to Canada.itzjulz wrote:The only people that really take trips to Canada are undergrads under the age of 21 (Windsor has a lot of bars and a drinking age of 19). Excited to meet you MAPers tomorrow. The dinner should be interesting, and we plan on going to Pinball Petes followed by some random bar for the evening out. Should be fun.

Mmmm... in between? Not casual. Hotel banquet room... skirts/dresses/pants/button downs/maybe ties.fei wrote:This is probably a silly question, but what is the banquet like tomorrow night for MAP? Is it formal or casual? Just wondering what I should wear.

Now that's some thinkin'! Do you think we can get Celine Dion box sets for a discount in Canada? We could pick up her entire body of work and play it during breakfast/burrito club gatherings!Chewbacca Defense wrote:I disagree, I would travel to Canada for their cheap pharmaceuticals and Celine Dion concerts. 1Ls, you should go on the walk to the arb that's one of the optional orientation activities. Go on the Monday one, so you can meet me and one of my crazy, sweet Golden Retrievers.

Re: Michigan 2012
i asked this question in another thread but didnt get much of a response. Does anyone know what policy books are? I've seen them referenced in some of the threads regarding supplements but haven't seen any examples of them or know what purpose they serve. TTT-LS mentioned that he thought they were worthless, but I still have no clue what exactly they are.
