Ouch. Tomorrow is graduation. Traffic will be insane. On the plus side, people will be drunk and happy.summertimechi wrote:hi guys! just checking in to say I'm super excited to meet all of you!!! heading to ann arbor tomorrow to check out a few apts that I found online and hopefully find my dream apt see you guys in a few months!

Sooo, you should just find somewhere to stay, show up to A2 a week early and hang out w/ the MAP kids in the evenings. 75-85% of the fun of MAP is going to bars w/ new people & no responsibilities for a week. Talk to one of the (rising) 2L's who will be coordinating. I'm pretty sure Lothar will be doing MAP, and he's a remarkably helpful and friendly individual. EmmyD/AwesomeRossum if she is doing MAP... I'd offer to direct you, but I'm not a part of MAP myself. Just a thought.LongRifle wrote:+1, great idea.mightydinosaur wrote:Booo. I'm guessing that wherever I get housing will have a lease starting on August 1st. I was thinking of moving out pretty much right after the lease starts, so this is good advice!hls3 wrote:Sooo, you should just find somewhere to stay, show up to A2 a week early and hang out w/ the MAP kids in the evenings. 75-85% of the fun of MAP is going to bars w/ new people & no responsibilities for a week. Unless you're staying at a place like Woodbury (places where there are a good amount of non-students), most leases don't start until Aug 30/Sept 1. So, watch out for that.USC2009 wrote: I'm guessing that wherever I get housing will have a lease starting on August 1st. And if any non-MAP people need to get into the social loop, I'm going to be a MAP leader, so hit me up and I'll clue you in.

MAP Leader here too, and I'd love to bring waitlisted/non-MAPers into the fold. Seriously, the day events are kind of boring. But the night events are fun, and I don't think it matters who comes to those You non-MAPers should be glad. You can avoid the ice-breakers, but meet some really cool people.tl wrote:Unless you're staying at a place like Woodbury (places where there are a good amount of non-students), most leases don't start until Aug 30/Sept 1. Hey guys, I'm trying to decide- bring tv to the lawyers club?
Will it serve as a necessary break from studying, or a tempting procrastination tool??

Okay, Sunshine - time to leave the library! Also, your status message got Phil Collins stuck in my head all morning, and that is never okay.awesomepossum wrote:I just realized!

Bring it. You are not going to be studying 24/7, and when you do, it probably won't be in your room. There will be plenty of time to watch TV.hdg315 wrote:Hey guys, I'm trying to decide- bring tv to the lawyers club?
