Starting a Journal

Do any of you 2012 folks have experience starting a journal? If so, could we PM? I would love to pick your brain.

You're a Boaltie, right? I know some kids who tried to do it last year. PM me and I can give you their contact info.

I was friends with a guy who started a journal at my school. We talked about it sometimes and I have an idea of what it takes...

Definitely not like starting a student org or something. You probably need to show concrete plans for private funding and make a real good case to the Dean(s).

A strategy a journal at NU uses it to let 1L's work as provisional members during second semester. It helps in recruiting.

Any journal that needs to "recruit" is in serious trouble
