Wow, my undergrad's averages were a 3.21 and 152. My 2.71 and 161 make me look like even more of a slacker the first two years of undergrad than I realized :(

They're on your LSAC transcript summary.

Dickinson College - 155

Wow, I'm slightly embarrassed... Though I do know a kid who straight up bombed it twice in a row.

Brooklyn College - 149

The silver lining (I guess) is that that score was probably like 143 15 years ago.

So let's take one of my classes from a school on that list I quoted:
10% As
30% Bs
45% Cs
15% Ds/Fs

This was required by the chemistry department. Now... let's say you filled that room with 22 ACT kids (average state kid) and one kid with a 35 ACT score and the intelligence to back it up. Well obviously we know who is the curve setter.

Now let's also place 35 ACT kids into that class, and shove in some URMs with 30s and 29s. All of them scored >750s on their SAT math, 36s on their ACT math etc....
What? That's racist! I am a black kid at an Ivy (Yale) and I most certainly did not score a 30 or 29 on the ACT. I scored a 34, which is in the top 25% of the entire student body here. Although people like to complain about affirmative action, the reality is that it is very difficult for a person of any ethnicity to get admitted to top colleges--as evidenced by my rejections at Harvard and Princeton.

averaging in the 140's means that alot of the school is in the 130's or at least some people are down at 120. Damn.

I worked at some concert venues last summer in order to make some cash on the side (internship during the week didn't pay so well). Anyways, I worked the University of Phoenix's Atlanta Graduation.

This score does not surprise me. At all.

You realize it doesn't really mean anything, right? How many people come from TTTs with 170s who didn't perform as well on the SAT? Suddenly, they're Harvard material? Nah, bro.

edited afeter you edited yours.

Ya I agree completely. I'm not putting too much weight into a standardized test average. I'm just saying, the common sense factor that day was pretty low. And considering the LSAT is logic based, which in a way can be related to common sense, then all I'm getting at is the fact that their score is that low doesn't surprise me as much as some of the other low scores.

Whatcha mean?
In the scheme of things, it doesn't really matter. You are judged individually, not by the average LSAT of your school, which may or may not be representative of the average of its population.

Flawed argument. The fact that you did not get accepted to Harvard or Princeton (two of the toughest schools to get into UG, period) does not prove anything. You still were accepted to Yale, so I'm not crying for you. I remember my days applying to schools for undergrad, and I knew that 1490 SAT and 3.8 GPA wouldn't get me into harvard (or most ivies), even though it is a fact that those numbers would get any african-american or latino into harvard automatically. The same applies for law school; i've seen the profile of harvard applicants, and on several occasions i have noticed white applicants with high 170s scores being rejected and latino/black applicants with mid 160s being accepted. It is true that is difficult for anyone to get into top-notch schools, but it is also true that it is easier for minorities to be accepted to those schools.

My UG is not listed. Is there some way to find out what my school's median LSAT is through my LSAC account?

Wow, this puts all of my ivy-jealousies in their place; just cause someone went to Yale does not mean they are smarter than me! That took long enough to figure out....

I just don't get how the averages are so low. It's not that hard of a test....

LSAC report? Do you get that when you start applying or when you register with LSAC?
