Thoughts on an iPad in addition to a laptop? My thinking was easy and portable to bring to class for notes, and can save $ and hassle on books with any e-reader app.

I would definitely recommend using an iPad in addition to a laptop.

Although I don't believe most legal textbooks are available as eBooks, it is extremely helpful in classes that are PDF heavy (where there is either one single class reader in PDF form or a whole slew of PDFs).
I've always done all my PDF reading on iPad.

The S Series is also pretty damn good if you're not looking to spend that much. Mine was like $1,200 last year. It's great.

It looks like you can get a pretty nice one for $899 now. Damn.
thanks guys

i saw the Z series and it started at around 1500. that is pretty expensive .is it that much better?

the S series seems a bit cheaper. is there any particular one in that bunch (or any other series) that one can recommend? i can do up to 1000 and maybe a lil less. if its great yet cheaper thatd be awesome too tho

thanks all!

A laptop would be better for taking notes in class (and is already portable). E-versions of law school textbooks are rare and ebooks are generally more expensive than used copies anyway.

I just got some Asus Zenbook on Microsoft Store.

$799 + free XBox = $860 - 10% using Discover - $125 (selling XBox) = $630

pretty excited

i just need one thats

relatively easy to carry around

RELIABLE( doesnt break down)

comfortable to use (fast, keyboard is good)

Price is not an issue. but i dont see how it could go extremely high when those three are my main criteria

could someone please help me? i did lookat the past threads but they dont necessarily answer what i want to know

id appreciate it a lot

thanks guys
MacBook Pro 13 fits your description quite well. The downside is the lack of OneNote for Mac.
MacBook Airs (last year models) floating in and out of Amazon Warehouse for ~$800.
