Think about how much money that would cost.

Now look at how much you will actually be spending.

Get back to me.

The fear is always there, despite hope, hard work, and the support of friends. Will it ever be altogether vanquished?

That's why he finished with a tempered "Get back to me" not a definitive "In your eye."

When you immerse your soul in love, which in your case, when you immerse your soul in Fordham.

Shhh. I'm trying to work Rayiner up into a state thinking about his potential debt load and the chance he might somehow miss big law. Obviously Georgetown is the better choice for what he wants.

I figure he already read my first post and went to the bathroom to cry his eyes out and take a couple hits off his stash of Nyquil. Job well done.

Point is, if you are going to go to a TTT in a market that is overly saturated with schools that are ranked higher than you don't fucking bitch. Second, get the fuck out of NYC if you are working at fucking IHOP. What the fuck is wrong with you?! Work in a small county, move to a smaller city, just stop working at fucking IHOP.

You sound like a very pleasant person. Thanks for your insight.
I just get tired of the "I'm at a TTT, pity me, I can't find a job because I won't leave"
Congrats on your summer job Grad_Student...and fwiw, I've heard real good things about your school. Houston is one of the cities I'm targeting so I've done a little research.

HEY! Look at that, I know one of the cities I'd like to work in...and I did some research to see what schools do well in that city... This is wild shit, do research then choose a school. Let me rephrase, do good research...then choose a school with realistic expectations.

It does. Love of learning, perhaps? I'm still up for that, if you are.

Oh, I've thought about it. GULC will cost me $150k and the number is frankly freaking me out a bit. And ITE, even lower T14 should be a bit nervous...

That being said, the least amount of money I'll ever make is $70k, so I'll be able to pay off my LS debt one way or the other. Marketable real-world skills FTW.

I'd think twice before assuming you'd get hired as an engineer after earning a JD!

Haha. The truth is that people from top schools are the same people who make life difficult for even the best students at TTT schools. Drop the kumbaya bullshit.

I have an open job offer at a successful startup that will allow me to reenter engineering after I flame out of GULC.

Aren't you the one who's always saying "If New York City big law is what you want then you should not go to Vermont Law School?"

I thought my message was a little more broad than that lol ;) But perhaps this fellow is on to something? TTT Law schools might now place well in NY?

The super frustrating thing about the post is that it wasn't even his TTT that let him down. According to him, employers in Vermont were very interested in him. If you went to a TTT and employers in your state are interested in hiring you then congratulations, you made a good decision, worked hard, and it paid off. And after running the TTT gambit he decides to chuck the success and head off to New York City to work at IHOP.

That should tell you something right there.
Half the people with engineering degrees don't practice engineering. You don't have a point.
Engineering is a mistake too LXW! Engineering + JD -> biggest mistake akin to porking a 300 lb land-whale!

Don't you see? We should've become HVAC technicians!
That is not a mistake.
I take it you're an assman? I'm a tittyman myself, but I understand where you're coming from.
