So, anybody ready to quit their jobs yet?
Or are you going to wait until June/July?
I'll tell you what, I wish I could walk out of this bitch today. Except they pay me too much damn money and I have too many damn bills... I'm ready to SNAP!

Mine pays little and is high stress.
I have cc debt & student loan debt from undergrad and have to pay my rent & utilities...sigh. So I'm sticking with it until the summer unless I wanna move back in with my parents and try to temp.

I, for one, CANNOT WAIT TO QUIT.
I'm thinking of quitting at the end of May, just cos I need to save $ to buy a laptop for law school (my old one won't last 3 more yrs lol), and for relocation expenses...

I was ready to quit a year ago. Nevertheless, I'll probably stay until July 1st. That's assuming I don't get lucky and get laid off.

I'll be working until end of July / early August. I got a mortgage to pay and with this market who know how soon the house will sell (and how much I'll get for it - I haven't built much equity either).

Oh I would love to get laid off, then I could collect some unemployment. I've been slacking-off hardcore with high hopes...The Zeppelin wrote:I was ready to quit a year ago. Nevertheless, I'll probably stay until July 1st. That's assuming I don't get lucky and get laid off.

If I do go to school, I'll probably stay till August. I'm not sitting on a trust fund.

No trust fund and a bit of debt here, should be exciting.doctorgonzo wrote:If I do go to school, I'll probably stay till August. I'm not sitting on a trust fund.

Ya I'm counting down till I quit. Luckily or unluckily, my job is seasonal, she when I quit in probably June I actually wont miss out on much cash.
Of course I also am one of those praying to get fired. Unemployment checks sound so good right now.

I come home everyday and threaten to quit. No training (for f's sake, I write demands!), too much stress, too much responsibility, not enough pay, and now they had to fire the cleaning company and they want me to clean the office.
Sometimes I miss retail.
On the plus side, now I know exactly which types of law not to go into and how not to run a successful law office.

No trust fund here either. True, quitting months before school starts means no more stable income. But it also means you get a much needed time off before the most grueling year of your life. The first year matters SO MUCH, that I think having a good, fun, stress-free summer is very important.

I think I'm in a different position, since I have well out of college and I've been working at this job for over 8 years. I'll take a couple weeks off, but I would be bored out of my mind not working for several months.daisyduck wrote:No trust fund here either. I have a lot of cc dent from undergrad...like $2k Ugh I'm trying to pay it off before law school starts...so I'll be sticking w/ my job (if I don't get laid off). My pay is so shitty though, I don't know if I'll be able to pay it all off before then.
*edited because I meant to say $2,000...not 2 million*

Well in any case... living modestly for a couple years after law school will take care of the law school debt, so that's a relief.
