They only mention a transcript or resume, but I would send a LOCI if you are on hold and interested. I don't think it can hurt to acknowledge their letter and show that you are interested.legends159 wrote:Does a hold warrant a LOCI?

Re: Columbia Applicants Waiting Thread
im on "hold" too. but my hold letter says i will hear something by april 20th. did yours say that you will hear in march, or are you guessing thats when we will hear?elisecolette wrote:Got a "hold" letter today... I'm pretty sure they've always had "hold"... it seems to be sort of a limbo category swimming around with accept/reserve/reject saying they'll get to me later and let me know which of those three I actually fall in.
So time to sit around and wait until late March.... (anxiously with fingers crossed).
Anyone else hear lately?

Oh no, it says April 20th now that I look at it... I got too pissed off and didn't read that far, but it looks like people on hold last year started to hear in late march

I got a Hamilton offer about a week ago.
And got accepted at Yale a few days ago.
This is going to be a ridiculously tough decision.

Sorry to hear that it wasn't acceptance outright.
Go forth and conquer with your impeccably written LOCI and shiny additional materials.

For your consideration: NYC vs. New Haven...Fac Ut Gaudeam wrote:This is going to be a ridiculously tough decision.

The hold letter talked about only Updated Transcript/Resume. So, is an additional LOR frowned upon??amyLAchemist wrote:I got put on "hold" also. Now to send in a LOCI/additional materials.....

Complete 10/17, so after I was left out of the first few rounds I was sure that I was destined for reserve or hold...

If CLS is THE place for you, then go for it. Just make sure that your hand delivery is noted somewhere. It would be a shame if all that effort went unnoticed.amyLAchemist wrote:Considering hand-delivering my LOCI. Thoughts?
