GMU has a question asking about misdemeanors including moving violations. Are non-reckless speeding tickets considered misdemeanors?

Non-reckless citations that remain "civil" violations are not misdemeanors, "criminal" citations are typically one's that could warrant arrest and may be seen as misdemeanors by the court when your date would be set. They could also just call for a heavy screaming at by the officer observing the infraction, and usually consist of greater than 15 MPH over the established speed limit. varying of course slightly from state to state.

Hmmm, I looked up my traffic violations and they were listed as Class C and B Misdemeanors - so I listed them as misdemeanors.
