We don't have A+ at my school! LSAC GPA calculation?

I'm sure this has been asked before, so feel free to just link another thread if you want, but how does LSAC figure out your GPA.
It just seems odd because I could have many "A+" grades, but my school doesn't use the "A+" letter grade. We have other +/-, but whether you get a 99% or a 94% in a class, it is still an "A."
I tried the search feature, but searching GPA doesn't help much!
Thanks!

If your school doesn't have A+, then LSAC doesn't give you any A+ grades.
It's unfair to schools that are sane and don't have A+ grades (I mean, come on....it's a 4.0 scale, the top score should be a 4.0!) but them's the breaks.

Luckily, my school doesn't credit A+ grades in my GPA, but fortunately it still gives them out. So my GPA will go up a shit load.

Jealous. My LSAC GPA went down .02, and I still haven't figured out why.

Yeah, that was such a frustrating thing to realize, there are a bunch of classes where I'd have gotten an A+--discounting the classes I lost points in for attendance reasons.

I'm glad we don't have A+'s because I do just enough work for a 93% (and sometimes miss the mark).

Something should be done about the A+ policy. It's ridiculous that people arbitrarily get credit for this because their schools dole out the sort of fake grades that you get on an elementary school book report.
Along those lines, I believe that more attention should be paid to median institutional grades as well. I shouldn't be penalized for the fact that my school doesn't have rampant grade inflation. What incentive do I have to go to an undergrad where I'm actually challenged when I could just drift along to a world of "A+" grades at some fourth-rate spot?
[Sigh] I'm just bitter that I have a B+ average and a lot of debt from a "good" private school when I could have just gone to a mid-range public school and I would actually be in a significantly better position today. Ridiculous.

Sorry to hear that. I think we should tell people in HS to think more about the lesser named schools that are offering scholarship or grant money because if you are planning to go to graduate school, no one cares where you got your UG degree.

So there's not even a notation on the LSDAS report indicating that your UG didn't use A+? That's pretty ridiculous.

A+'s are bullsh!t. Given the fact that most schools do not give these grades, it seems unfair that LSAC computes them as 4.3s.

another reason why the lsat is weighed more heavily I presume.

I, too, think that LSAC should fix the A+ discrepancy. It would be simple: Just count A+ grades as A's and judge everything on a 4.0 scale. It doesn't hurt the A+ kids, and it makes it an equal playing field for those students who had no opportunity for A+ grades.
I went to a pretty good UG and managed to be in the 97%+ range in most of my classes, but my UG doesn't offer A+ grades. Kinda sucks when my same percentages would have significantly increased my UGPA at an A+ school.

Same here, WART, probably could've had a good amount of "+" boosts, and definitely could have used them!
On top of the sort of grade inflation that goes on at some of the "better" schools (nobody gets below a B sort of thing), this really skews the admissions process, and I'm surprised that LSAC doesn't even put a asterisk or handicap this in any sort of way.

The back of your official transcript should have a grading scale which will show no A+. Even if LSAC made a notation, no one cares.

I'm eternally greatful my UG doesn't do A+/A-, I have about 30 A's, I don't think any are above a 93.
